Our Story

As North Fork Jewelry Design grows, we pledge to make a commitment to the women of rural West Virginia.  We commit to recruiting and training women to not just make amazing jewelry, but to also learning the other aspects of running a creative business.  Together, we will create a company of which we can all be proud. We believe that by changing the economic situation of a woman, you change the future of her whole family and the community we share.  We believe in the power of women!  

North Fork Jewelry Design is based in the heart of Appalachia - rural West Virginia.  It's no secret that West Virginia suffers from generational poverty and an increasing drug epidemic, but we know the best thing about this region is the incredible people who call it home.  The people in rural West Virginia are some of the most loyal, kind and hardworking we've ever met. 

North Fork Jewelry Design founder Tina Rush was born and raised in a small town in northern West Virginia.  While she spent many years of her adult life in coastal South Carolina, the mountains called her home over a decade ago.  Since then she has worked hard to promote the positive aspects of West Virginia.  She has volunteered her time to many community projects and serves on several non-profit organizations' board of directors.  Her passion projects benefit animals, children and women.
